The Underground City

The Underground City is the third release of the Masker collective, which grew over the summer of 2020 into a five musician experiment. This 15 track album is a meditation on a city locked down, underground music and post modern urban art. Using field recordings in downtown and underground Montréal, live drums, re-programmed, re-arranged and dissected into various styles and forms and layer of acoustic and electronic instrumentation.

This album completes a a conceptual trilogy of albums for Masker and set the stage for Oudwijn records. We have an expanding roster of artists and new ideas and a lot of new music and art coming next year.
