I worked on the realization of Cornelius Cardew’s Octet ’61 by the live electronics master’s group of the Conservatorium of Amsterdam in autumn 2009. As an assistant to Jos Zwaanenburg I programmed a Max/MSP patch to be used by the eight musicians performing the piece. Each performer had their own laptop running the Max/MSP patch and processing their sound, dynamics and notes played were analyzed and used in the Max/MSP patch to create the electronic counterpoint to their performance.
